So here's the formal stuff:

Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, Pennalur, Sriperumbudur*. Founded sometime ago (not like I really care, but still..)

*Also referred to as the "Pennalur Penitentiary". I'm not joking. Take a look if you want. Ill post the wikipedia link at the bottom of this post.*

Mission:

To develop SVCE into a " CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE " offering Engineering Education to men and women at undergraduate and postgraduate degree levels, bringing out their total personality, emphasizing ethical values and preparing them to meet the growing challenges of the industry and diverse societal needs of our nation

Yeah, thats about it.

And even better, is that the kids (fine fine, young adults) absolutely ADORE and LOVE our college. And mind you, this statement is not without proof. Imagine the surprise when I was looking around Wikipedia for stuff on our dandy college?
Mission, History, Placement Cell, blah blah yada yada yada.
And then came the BEST part!!!

CRITICISM!!!
And, here it is folks, complete and unedited, just for your reading pleasure!

In recent times , the college has resorted to the stereotypical average college methodology of 'making' students study.For instance,writing or reproducing text is given more importance than reading or understanding.

• Physical education is not given any importance and students need to stay back after working hours to make use of the facilities.But for many, it is impractical as their residences are at least one and a half hours away (on average).
  
• HODs and some professors mildly harassing the students for not wearing their ID card/not wearing them visibly has become an everyday issue.
  
• The college symposiums are not funded properly by the college.A few students claim that their schools funded better.
  
• The college recently created controversy as it was found out that it was charging exorbitant amount of money as college fees.
  
• Some students have complained that some professors are not up to the standards and that a few have been downright abusive though the college has a lot of genuinely talented and considerate professors.The physics department is thought to be abusive in general.
  
• The college believes that wearing T-shirts is 'unprofessional' and girls are not allowed to wear anything 'western'.These include pants/trousers and shirts which are thought to be exclusively reserved for boys.
  

HA!! Freaking LOL people! Now thats something them administrators HAVE to see!!!

But, on a more serious note, I have to say something.
